ACTION REQUESTED: REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRS SIGNATURE ON TASK
ORDER #11 WITH CENTURY WEST FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW AIRPORT TAXILANE.
BACKGROUND: Bowers Field Airport is undergoing new development
opportunities to strengthen its revenue making capability.
One of these projects is a new taxilane along Bowers Road
adjacent to the west apron.
DISCUSSION: This taxilane will open up the potential of new hangar
development along Bowers Road providing up to 10 new
executive style hangars. This is also consistent with the
Bowers Field Airport Layout Plan for future development
and allowing space for replacement of the county’s aging
T-Hangars.
INTERACTION: AAC, BoCC, Prosecutors Office.
