Dr. Mark Larson updated the board on the following topics:
• COVID-19 death rates in the United States
• Kittitas County COVID-19 incidence rate
• Importance of vaccinations and boosters
• Omicron variant
• Vaccine efficacy
Director’s Report
Ms. Lamb updated the board on the following topics:
• Staff Updates
o Audrey Alderman, Public Health Technician
• 2nd first dose pediatric COVID-19 vaccine clinic (58 primary doses given)
• House Bill 1152 Implementation progress update
• Public Hearing delay for 2022 Fees (moved to January 2022)

Business
Rural Health Equity Team Progress
MacKenzie Carter gave an overview of the Rural Health Equity grant and invited a Board of Health member to
participate in the coalition.
There was a question and discussion of whether other groups working on health equity have been linked in with
this new grant.
