BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COI.INTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />F027RESOLUTION <br />No. 0TI <br />AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF'PUBLIC WORIG TO PAY REMAINING <br />CONSTRUCTION COSTS TO THE CITY OF'ELLENSBURG COMPLETING THE <br />UNIVERSITY WAYIREECER CREEK INTERSECTION TRAFFIC SIGNAL <br />WHEREAS: The City of Ellensburg requires signalization of the University Way/Reecer <br />Creek Road intersection as a condition of approval supporting relocation of <br />the Solid Waste Transfer Station; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works paid for signalization design and granted the City of Ellensburg <br />construction funding through a Surface Transportation Block Grant <br />supporting Transfer Station development; and <br />WHERBAS: The Surface Transportation Block Grant to the City of Ellensburg requires a <br />local match of $74,672.72; and <br />WHBREAS: Public Works proposes paying the local match with funding reserves and <br />subsequently seeking pro rata cost recovery from Solid Waste for their share <br />of signalization expense. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners, after due <br />consideration, does hereby authorize the Director of Public Works to pay the local match of <br />the City of Ellensburg's Transportation Block Grant signalizingthe University Way/Reecer <br />Creek intersection in the amount of $74,672.42. <br />DATED this I't day of February 2022, at Ellensburg, Washington <br />BOARD OF COTINTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COTINTY , WASHINGTON <br />Chairman <br />Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />,/ <br />lillllrl <br />Vice-Chairman <br />Clerk of the Board- <br />/ <br />lsstoner
