b7.:qRESOLUTION NO. 2022 -
AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON THE LOCAL AGENCY FEDERAL
AID PROJECT PROSPECTUS FOR THE BRIDGE RAIL IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 1,
cRP 314-21.
WHEREAS: Public Works has received federal safety funding for Bridge Rail Improvements
Phase 1 at various locations within Maintenance Districts A - F; and
WHEREAS: The federal funding will be used for the preliminary engineering phase to design,
develop and prepare construction plans and specifications for these
improvements; and
WHEREAS: In preparation to begin work in the Spring of 2022 Kittitas County Public Works
is requesting the Washington State Department of Transportation release the
federal funds for preliminary engineering; and
WHEREAS: A Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus must be executed by the Chair
acknowledging the project has been reviewed and is consistent with the County's
comprehensive plan for community development; and
NOW' THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best
interest ofthe public, does hereby approve the Chair's signature on the Local
Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus for Bridge Rail Improvements Phase 1,
cRP 314-21.
