FRBRUARY 7, 2022 <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory <br />Wright and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Taylor Crouch, Admin <br />Assistant; Phil Backlund, Consultant, Sheriff Clay Myers, and Carly <br />Brettmann, Communications Director. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS <br />At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened the Office Administration <br />meeting. CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS <br />The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar. <br /> PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS <br />The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County <br />Employee Personnel Action forms and vouchers. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence <br />Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week <br />ending February 4, 2022. <br /> LETTER NATIONAL COUNTY GOVERNMENT MONTH BOCC <br />Commissioner Wright moved to approve a Letter to K-5 teachers in <br />Kittitas County recognizing April 2022 as National County Government <br />Month and encouraging students to participate in the Commissioner’s <br />annual coloring contest with the theme “My Future in Kittitas <br />County”. Commissioner Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> APPROVAL HUMVEE TRADE IN SHERIFF <br />Sheriff Clay Myers explained to the Board why trading in the Humvee <br />for a side by side was beneficial. He said it is of better use, is <br />cheaper to maintain and parts, and is more comfortable. The value of <br />the Humvee for the trade is about $7,000. Commissioner Wright moved <br />to approve the Sheriff’s Office to trade in the Humvee. Commissioner <br />Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
