KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />2022 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: February 15, 2022 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Chair <br />Signature on the Washington State Department of Ecology <br />Restrictive Covenant at the Lower County Public Works <br />Maintenance Shop <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Groundwater monitoring for petroleum hydrocarbon <br />contamination at Lower County Public Works Maintenance <br />Shop concluded in 2021. It is now time to record the <br />requested restrictive covenant on the property. The soil <br />cleanup will take place once the existing shop is ready for <br />demolition. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Chair’s signature on the restrictive covenant <br />requested by the Washington State Department of Ecology. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Restrictive Covenant. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
