KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />February 15, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request to Approve a Resolution to Authorize a Lease <br />between the Kittitas County Sheriffs Office and the City of <br />Cle Elum to Temporarily Relocate the Search and Rescue <br />Program <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In 2021, the City of Cle Elum and Kittitas County <br />completed a land exchange creating a permanent location <br />for relocating the Sheriff s Office Search and Rescue <br />Program. The City of Cle Elum is offering to temporarily <br />house the program in its old Public Works facility. The <br />City and the County have agreed to lease terms. The <br />proposed lease is for a period of two years. The lease will <br />cost $2,500/month plus utility costs and leasehold tax at <br />12.5 percent.
