AGENDA DATE: February 15, 2022
ACTION REQUESTED: Request for County Commissioner’s signatures on the Public Benefit Rating
System Agreement between Kittitas County and Kittitas Conservation Trust
RE: PBRS Application (OS-21-00035).
BACKGROUND: Mitch Long, authorized agent for the Kittitas County Conservation Trust,
submitted an application for consideration of parcel 385135 under the Public
Benefit Ratings System tax designation on January 22, 2021.
CDS staff presented this application to the Board on December 7, 2021. The
Board approved the application as presented. The Agreement was reviewed by
the Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office through request number 53333. The
applicant signed the agreement on February 7, 2022.
In conformance with Kittitas County Code 3.46, Kittitas County Community
Development Staff requests signatures from the Board of County
Commissioners. Upon BOCC signatures the application will be forwarded to the
Assessor’s Office for final steps.
INTERACTION: Community Development Services, Kittitas Conservation Trust and the Board of
County Commissioners
RECOMMENDATION: Approve, by signature, the Open Space Taxation Agreement between Kittitas
County and the Kittitas Conservation Trust referencing PBRS Application (OS-
21-00035).
