ACTION REQUESTED: HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER
AERONAUTICAL LEASES FOR COUNTY OWNED
T-HANGARS
BACKGROUND: Bowers Field Airport is transitioning all T-Hangar leases from
“month-to-month” to annual to reduce the administrative costs
associated with operating these premises. The existing model
requires the Auditor’s office to issue monthly invoices to tenants
that have been residing in theses spaces since as far back as
November of 1993.
With this update, the rate at which these Hangars are leased will
increase from $125/$150 per month, to $175 per month, keeping in
line with current market trends and the findings of our most current
market study.
New leases will go into effect on 1/1/2022, at which time they will
be delivered to the BoCC for notary and signature.
INTERACTION: Board of County Commissioners, Airport Advisory Committee,
Prosecutor’s Office, and Airport staff.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approve resolution authorizing the presented leases at
Bowers Field and approve resolution terminating current month-to-
month leases.
AAC RECOMMENDATION: Approve resolution authorizing the presented leases at
Bowers Field and approve resolution terminating current month-to-
month leases.
HANDLING: Return one original to the Airport.
