ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of
Interlocal Agreement between Washington State Patrol and Kittitas County Sheriff's
Office
BACKGROUND: The purpose of this Agreement is to maximize the effective utilization
of commercial motor vehicle, driver, and cargo inspection resources; to avoid duplication
of effort and to expand the number of inspections performed; to advance uniformity of
inspections; to minimize delays in schedules incurred by the commercial motor vehicle
industry inherent to these types of enforcement activities.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has reviewed and
approved.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of
Interlocal Agreement between Washington State Patrol and Kittitas County Sheriff's
Office
HANDLING: Return both originals Agreements to the Sheriff's Office to obtain
signatures from WSP along with one signed Resolution. KCSO to return one fully
executed original to BOCC.
