COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM/ WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING MONDAY 10:00 A.M. JANUARY 10, 2022
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz; and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Phil Backlund,
Consultant; and Carly Brettmann, Communications Director.
SPECIAL MEETING WEEKLY PLANNING UPDATE COMMISSIONERS
At 10:25 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting with Phil
Backlund, for their weekly planning update.
Mr. Backlund felt it would be beneficial to add EOS to the weekly
Office Administrative Meetings for approximately 15-30 minutes to
stay on track.
The Board discussed establishing a phased-out plan to meet with him
weekly and instead have him work with the Management Team in the
role of facilitator at their monthly meetings. Chairman Osiadacz
said she would bring the subject up at the February Executive
Committee meeting and the group could approach the Management Team
at their February meeting, followed by Mr. Backlund beginning in
March.
Mr. Backlund asked for everyone to provide feedback on the “norms”
and be ready to finalize them at next week’s meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 10:59 a.m.
