JANUARY 6, 2022 <br />Board members present via Webex: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice- <br />Chairman Cory Wright; and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> Others via Webex: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Patti Stacey, <br />Solid Waste Director/Interim Maintenance Director/Project Manager; <br />Katrina Mankus, Juvenile Court Administrator; Kristin Foreman, Human <br />Resource Director; Josh Fredrickson, Engineer; Candie Leader, <br />Administrative Supervisor; Sarah Keith, Superior Court <br />Administrator; Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Tristin Lamb, Public <br />Health Director; Val Barschaw, Clerk; Mark Cook, Public Works <br />Director; Diana MacKenzie, Upper District Court Administrator; Chris <br />Whitsett, Inspector; Darren Higashiyama, Chief Deputy; Cori McKean, <br />Jeremiah Johnson, Staff Planner; Barb Demory, Lower District Court <br />Administrator; Toni Berkshire, Code Enforcement Officer; and 7 <br />members of the public. <br /> EMERGENCY SPECIAL OFFICE CLOSURES–INCLEMENT WEATHER COMMISSIONERS <br />At 4:00 p.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened an Emergency Special Meeting <br />to obtain updates relating to the inclement weather and whether <br />County offices should close on January 7, 2022. <br /> <br />Chairman Osiadacz felt after obtaining an update from Patti Stacey, <br />Solid Waste Director/Interim Maintenance Director/Project Manager, <br />it would be best to close County facilities on Friday January 7, <br />2022. Commissioner Wright agreed it would allow additional time to <br />continue to plow, shovel walkways & entryways, and get the buildings <br />ready for employees and customers. Josh Fredrickson, Engineer, <br />provided an update on the County roads and said they have concerns <br />about possible flooding and will be watching the forecast. Darren <br />Higashiyama, Chief Deputy, provided an update and said the hospital <br />is currently on crisis care and they are also watching the forecast <br />for possible flooding. Patti Stacey, Solid Waste Director/Interim <br />Maintenance Director/Project Manager, said they could use some <br />assistance shoveling entrances to County buildings, and she would <br />work with Carly Brettmann, Communications Director, and Commissioner <br />Wright to compose a message requesting help. <br /> <br />The Board agreed to close County offices on Friday January 7, 2022, <br />due to the inclement weather, and to have Chairman Osiadacz send an <br />email out to all employees notifying them.
