BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />REsoLUroN No. 2021- I I tl <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN WASHINGTON STATE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION AND KITTITAS <br />COUNTY, WASHINGTON FOR BOATING SAFEryAND EDUCATION SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the lnterlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for <br />public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and <br />WHEREAS, Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission provides grant <br />assistance to agencies as part of their Recreational Boating Safety (RBS) program; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County is desirous of participating in the RBS program to help <br />reduce the number and severity of recreational boating casualties of all types associated <br />with recreational boating and ensure a safe and enjoyable boating environment for all <br />users; and <br />WHEREAS, Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission has reviewed <br />and accepted the application of the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office for a RBS Federal <br />Financial Assistance Grant; and <br />WHEREAS, the governing bodies of each of the parties to the lnterlocal Agreement <br />attached hereto have determined to enter into this lnterlocalAgreement by action taken at <br />a regular meeting; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the execution of the lntedocjl <br />Agreement for the Housing of lnmates that is attached hereto, and incorporated herein by <br />this reference, and which shall be forthwith filed with the Kittitas County Auditor purrr"ni <br />to RCW 39.34.040. <br />ADOPTED this d ay of <br />BOARD OF COU COMMISSIONERS <br />U INGTON <br />Chairman <br />acz Vice-Chairman <br />ry ght, Commissioner <br />TO <br />1 <br />\ <br />F^QRMg4t <br />RESOLUTION <br />Douglas R ell, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney
