BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2022-_______ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE CITY OF ELLENSBURG REGARDING DEVELOPMENT IN ITS URBAN <br />GROWTH AREA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Counties and Cities are required by the Growth Management Act to coordinate <br />development within urban growth areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County and the City have been negotiating the terms of an interlocal agreement <br />that would define this coordination of development regulation for numerous years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the resulting draft interlocal agreement protects the interests of both the County <br />and City and sets forth a workable means of implementing development regulation within <br />Ellensburg’s urban growth area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners considered the matter at its January 4, 2022 <br />agenda session and found execution of said interlocal agreement to be in the public’s best <br />interest. <br /> <br />Now, Therefore, Be it Resolved: <br /> <br />The BOCC Chairman authorizes execution of the attached interlocal agreement regarding <br />coordination of development within Ellensburg’s urban growth area. <br /> <br />DATED this __________ day of ____________________, 2022, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> __________________________________________ <br /> Chair <br /> <br /> <br /> __________________________________________ <br /> Vice-Chair <br /> <br /> <br /> __________________________________________ <br /> Commissioner <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />_____________________________ <br />Clerk of the Board
