AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: January 4, 2022
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of
Amended Interlocal Agreement #K9561(7) between the Washington State Department of
Corrections and the County of Kittitas, Washington for the Housing of Inmates.
BACKGROUND: This is an amendment to the existing Interlocal Agreement signed in
2016 (#K9561(4)) between the Washington State Department of Corrections and Kittitas
County for the housing of inmates from January 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023. The proposed
daily rate for this period is $74.45 per Department offender.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office has reviewed and approved
this Interlocal Agreement.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of
Amended Interlocal Agreement #K9561(7) between the Washington State Department of
Corrections and the County of Kittitas, Washington for the Housing of Inmates.
HANDLING: Please return 1 signed original to KCSO. Sheriff’s Office to provide a
fully executed Agreement back to the BOCC upon signature by DOC.
