COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON WEBEX/CONF. ROOM REGULAR MEETING MONDAY 9:00 A.M. DECEMBER 27, 2021
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith & Commissioner Cory
Wright. Excused: Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Judy Pless, Budget &
Finance Manager; Darren Higashiyama, Chief Deputy; and 1 member of
the public.
SPECIAL MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:13 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed vouchers.
There were no PAF’s for the week.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending December 23, 2021.
AGREEMENT KC INCIDENT MANAGEMENT TEAM SHERIFF
Chairman Wachsmith moved to acknowledge a Memorandum of
Understanding between the Kittitas Valley Event Center and the
Kittitas County Incident Management Team, for a priority-hold to use
KVEC resources in case of an emergency vaccine clinic is initiated.
Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
AGREEMENT COMPREHENSIVE HEALTHCARE AUDITOR
Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve Amendment A to Agreement No.
2021-105MH between Kittitas County and Comprehensive Healthcare.
Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion carried 2-0.

LETTER STATE AUDITOR AUDITOR
Chairman Wachsmith moved to ratify the Chair’s signature on an
Amendment to an engagement letter dated September 22, 2021, to
replace the estimate of cost to complete the audit in the “Estimated
Audit Costs and Timeline”, revising the amount to $95,200.00.
Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion carried 2-0. UPDATE COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR COMMISSIONERS
There were no updates.
UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS
Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to
meet with on a weekly basis. The assignments for 2021 were
determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin meeting
on 1-11-2021.
Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective
departments and exchanged details of those meetings.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
There were general updates on meetings & conversations that the
Board participated in, individually over the past week.
