LAW & JUSTICE GRANT AGREEMENT
FOR 2021 GRANT FUNDS
BETWEEN
Kittitas County and Cle Elum Police Department
Amendment
Grant #21-07-A
WHEREAS, the original contract awarding Grant 21-07 to Cle Elum Police
Department as approve by Resolution 2021-048 and signed by the Board of County
Commissioners on June 15, 2021, with an effective date of April 7th, 2021.
WHEREAS, the purpose of this Agreement is to provide an agreement for the award
of grant funds, which are used for special projects to foster cooperation, sharing of resources
and enhancement of the criminal justice project within Kittitas County, and
WHEREAS, there was conflicting information between the applications and the award
letters; the application stated funds would be effective January 1, 2021 and the Resolution
stated the funds will be available on the signing date of April 7, 2021
WHEREAS the City of Cle Elum Police Department had purchased items for t his
grant prior to April 7, 2021.
WHEREAS the Law & Justice Council met on September 15, 2021 and agreed to
allow the City of Cle Elum Police Department have a contract amendment with the effective
date of January 1, 2021.
NOW THEREFORE the amendment to the contract for Grant #21-07 is amended
from the effective date of April 7, 2021, to the effective date of January 1, 2021.
All other terms and conditions of the agreement remain in full force and effect .
