Action Requested:
Request to Approve Amendment A to Contract 21-07 between Kittitas County and the Cle Elum Police
Department for the Law & Justice Grant for 2021 Grant Period
Background:
The original contract awarding Grant 21-07 to Cle Elum Police Department as approve by
Resolution 2021-048 and signed by the Board of County Commissioners on June 15, 2021, with
an effective date of April 7th, 2021.
There was conflicting information between the applications and the award letters; the application
stated funds would be effective January 1, 2021, and the Resolution stated the funds will be
available on the signing date of April 7, 2021. The City of Cle Elum Police Department had
purchased items for this grant prior to April 7, 2021. The Law & Justice Council met on
September 15, 2021 and agreed to allow the City of Cle Elum Police Department have a contract
amendment with the effective date of January 1, 2021.
This amendment is changing the effective date to January 1, 2021.
Recommendation
Recommend the Board approve Amendment A to Contract 21-07 between Kittitas County and the Cle
Elum Police Department for the Law & Justice Grant for 2021 Grant Period
