KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: December 21, 2021 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Authorize Advertisement of two (2) Request for Statement <br />of Qualifications; One (1) supporting Design, and One (1) supporting <br />Environmental Planning and Permitting for the replacement of Bridge <br />#89342, Vantage Highway over Cascade Canal. <br />BACKGROUND: Bridge # 89342, Vantage Highway over Cascade Canal, is currently <br />load restricted and has sustained recent damage from a vehicle <br />accident. Kittitas County Public Works was awarded American <br />Rescue Plan funding in the amount of $656,900 to apply towards this <br />project. Public Works has also applied for a $870,000 State <br />Transportation Block Grant to cover some of the costs and plan to <br />fund the remainder with Local dollars. The estimated total project cost <br />at this time is $1,664,000.00. Public Works would like to start on this <br />project immediately with plans for construction in the Winter of 2022. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize Advertisement of (2) two Request for Statement of <br />Qualifications One (1) supporting Design, and One (1) supporting <br />Environmental Planning and Permitting for the replacement of Bridge <br />#89342, Vantage Highway over Cascade Canal. <br />HANDLING: Return One original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Statement of Qualifications: <br />1.
