Kittitas County <br />Solid Waste <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />12/21/2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners signatures on the Resolution adopting the Kittitas <br />County Solid Waste Management Plan. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Kittitas County Solid Waste in concurrence with RCW 70A.205.040 have work with the Solid Waste <br />Advisory committee and Jacobs Engineering to update the Kittitas County Solid Waste Management Plan. <br /> <br />The Plan has been submitted to the Department of Ecology, Department of Agriculture and the Washington <br />Utilities and Transportation Commission for approval per RCW 710A.205. In addition the Kittitas County <br />Solid Waste Management Plan has been adopted by resolution by all Cities and Towns with in the Kittitas <br />County per the Joint Solid Waste Disposal System Interlocal Agreement. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Prosecutors Office, Department of Ecology, Department of Agriculture and the Washington Utilities and <br />Transportation Commission, City of Ellensburg, City of Roslyn, City of Cle Elum, Town of South Cle <br />Elum, and City of Kittitas. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Recommend Board of County Commissioners Approval of the the Resolution adopting the Kittitas County <br />Solid Waste Management Plan. <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />Return copy of Signed Resolution <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Patti Stacey <br />
