CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES

Regular Meeting

Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith and Commissioner
Cory Wright.
Others via Webex: Dan Carlson and Jessica Miller Community
Development Services; Josh Fredrickson and Rebecca Cruse, Public
Works; and two (2) members of the public.
At 1:48 pm Chairman Wachsmith opened the Community Development
Services Study Session.
RESIDENTIAL BUILDING PERMIT ACTIVITY REPORT
CDS Director Dan Carlson provided an update of the residential
building permit activity for submitted and issued permits for
the month of November. We may see an additional increase as we
approach February 7th with the new CAO going into effect.
DISCUSSION REGARDING PROPOSED 2022 FEES
CDS Director Dan Carlson presented the proposed fees for
planning applications and standalone building permits prior to
the January 4th hearing. The only change is when looking at our
new fees for new construction, they are based on the ICC
building valuation data table. The table is meant to assist
jurisdictions come up with fees. The BVD (building valuation
data) cost per square foot has increased which will affect the
new construction fees.
