Ruby St., Suite 2, Ellensburg, WA 98926 <br />CDS@CO.KITTITAS.WA.US <br />Office (509) 962-7506 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: December 7, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Requesting Approval of an Ordinance Adopting Amendments to the <br />Kittitas County Critical Areas Ordinance and KCC Title 17A. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: RCW 36.70A requires Kittitas County to adopt and maintain a critical <br />areas policy, which includes the most current information and data. <br /> <br />The Board of County Commissioners held a virtual public hearing on <br />November 3, 2021, to hear public testimony on the proposed CAO <br />updates. <br /> <br />The Board voted 3-0 to approve the proposed amendments to the CAO <br />and KCC Title 17A. The Board directed staff to prepare the documents for <br />signature at the December 7, 2021, agenda session. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Community Development Services, Prosecuting Attorney and Board of <br />County Commissioners. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the ordinance regarding Kittitas County’s proposed Critical <br />Areas Ordinance update as shown in the attachments to the ordinance <br />(Exhibits A, B, and C). <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Ordinance with Exhibits A-C <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Jeremy Johnston, Planning Official
