CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES

Regular Meeting
MONDAY 1:30 PM November 8, 2021
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice -Chairman
Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others In -Person: Dan Carlson, Community Development Services;
Mark Cook and Rebecca Cruse, Public Works; Kristine Foreman,
Human Resources; and Carly Brettman, Communications Department.
Others via WebEx: Neil Caulkins, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney;
Mike Flory, Community Development Services; Jessica Miller,
Community Development Services and two (2) members of the
public.
At 1:30 pm Chairman Wachsmith opened the Community Development
Services Study Session.
RESIDENTIAL BUILDING PERMIT ACTIVITY REPORT
CDS Director Dan Carlson presented the Residential Building
Permit activity for the months of September and October. The
Critical Areas Ordinance was adopted and we are under a notice
with Commerce. The earliest we can bring this before the Board
of County Commissioners for adoption is December 7, 2021. We
will build in a 60 -day effective date which will take us to
February 7, 2022, to go into effect. This will allow training of
staff and applicants time to plan and submit.
