AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: December 7th, 2021
ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of Internal Contracts for Award of LTAC Funding and 2022 Lodging Tax Services
Agreements for Operations with Kittitas County Auditor’s Office, Kittitas County Department of Public Works, and Kittitas Valley Event Center.
BACKGROUND: There are expenses accrued through-out the year by the Auditor’s Office and Kittitas Valley Event Center (KVEC) that directly fall under Lodging Tax. Staff time hours to
staff the Committee and to review the contracts and reimbursements. KVEC also accrues expenses maintaining the Event Center which is used for many events funded by Lodging Tax Funds.
These agreements enable Lodging Tax funds to be spent under the appropriate categories. DPW funding will be used to complete a parking lot in Vantage, this will help the tourism of Vantage.
INTERACTION: The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee met on in open public meetings and approved the Internal Applications. The Contracts were approved from the Prosecutor’s Office SR#52892
RECOMMENDATION: Request the BOCC approves the Resolution and signs the attached 2022 Lodging Tax Operational Agreements LT-2021-025-027
