MONDAY 1:30 PM October 25, 2021
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice -Chairman
Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others In -Person: Dan Carlson, Bridget Pechtel, and Jeremy
Johnston, Community Development Services; Mark Cook and Rebecca
Cruse, Public Works.
Others via WebEx: Ken Grannan, Airport; Candie Leader, Public
Works; Kelly Bacon, Jeremiah Cromie, Jessica Miller, Community
Development Services and seven (7) members of the public.
At 1:52 pm Chairman Wachsmith opened the Community Development
Services Study Session.
CRITICAL AREAS ORDINANCE DISCUSSION
CDS Planning Official Jeremy Johnston provided a presentation of
the Critical Areas Ordinance update, focusing on standards and
processes, to the BoCC. Planning Official Johnston stated this
will apply to all of Kittitas County with some exemptions. An
explanation of the following sections was provided: Exemptions,
Exceptions, Non -Conforming Structures, Riparian Management
Zones, Wetlands, review process, accommodations, and Critical
Aquifer Recharge Areas.
