ELLENSBURG FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH CONTRACT FOR BUILDING USE Kittitas County Public Health Department March 22, 2021 Ellensburg First United Methodist Church (EUMC) seeks to further its ministry to the community by welcoming individuals and groups into its facilities and programs. We are committed to community outreach by sharing our meeting facilities with community agencies, organizations, and programs that support the mission and vision of this congregation. Building use activities fall under the auspices of the Church Leadership Team and the des- ignated Building Use Coordinators. No commitment for building use will be finalized until these designees and/or the representative of the contracted entity agree to this building use agreement. If the terms of the building use agreement or this contract are not met during the contracted period, EUMC reserves the right to stop/dissolve the agreement and/or to issue financial charges that have been incurred for building mainte- nance and/or custodial services as a result of the breach in the agreement. The programs and people of EUMC are the top priority when building use requests are consid- ered/issued. EUMC contracts with community groups for extended, long-term use as well as short-term usage. Approval of the use of the grounds and facilities of EUMC does not constitute or imply en- dorsement of a group, their mission, or their positions. Groups approved to use facilities at EUMC must not advertise the event in such a way as to imply endorsement by the congre- gation. No activities or advocacy may take place within EUMC, its buildings, or grounds if the activities or advocacy conflict with the Discipline and the practices of this congregation and the United Methodist Church. Effective Dates of Agreement 1. Parties to Agreement: EUMC and the Kittitas County Public Health Department (KCPHD). 2. Areas of Building to be Used: Classroom 2 3. Days and Times of the Use: This will be dedicated space for the Kittitas County Health Department to use at their discretion Monday - Fridays. 4. Term of Use: For the following time period: beginning and ending dates April 2021 — September 30, 2021. This, agreement is contingent on KCPHD securing funding through an agreement with the University of Washington. This agreement will not be- come effective until KCPHD notifies EUMC in writing that the agreement with the Uni- versity of Washington has been secured.
