KITTITAS COUNTY <br />AIRPORT DEPARTMENT <br />October 19, 2021 AGENDA <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: October 19, 2021 CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: REQUESTING APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE LEASE TERMINATION ON LOT C-24 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County and Leroy Miller, d/b/a Miller Refrigeration, entered into a lease for real property on the Bowers Field Airport Business Park on 10/8/2008, which was subsequently <br />amended on 10/16/2018. Since that time Mr. Miller has passed away and Mrs. Ruth Miller desires to terminate the lease effective 9/31/2021. <br /> <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: With the passing of Mr. Miller the Airport does not wish to put an undue burden on Mrs. Miller. The building located on lot C-24, has outlived its useful life and will not <br />be re-leased at this time. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: BoCC, Prosecutors Office, and Mrs. Ruth Miller. <br /> <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: The Airport requests the lease be terminated effective 9/31/2021. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return one original to the Airport. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution approving lease termination, copy of lease. <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Ken Grannan <br />Airport Director <br />
