COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

SPECIAL MEETING
WEDNESDAY 1:00 P.M. OCTOBER 6, 2021
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor; Chris Whitsett,
Inspector; Clay Myers, Sheriff and Lisa Young, HR Director.
SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS
At 1:00 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting and
announced the Board would recess into Executive Session for 30
minutes per RCW 42.30.140 to consider Collective bargaining sessions
with employee organizations, including contract negotiations,
grievance meetings, and discussions relating to the interpretation
or application of a labor agreement; or (b) that portion of a
meeting during which the governing body is planning or adopting the
strategy or position to be taken by the governing body during the
course of any collective bargaining, professional negotiations, or
grievance or mediation proceedings, or reviewing the proposals made
in the negotiations or proceedings while in progress. Action
anticipated.
At 1:30 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No
action.
At 1:30 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess
back into Executive Session for 20 minutes per RCW 42.30.140 to
consider Collective bargaining sessions with employee organizations,
including contract negotiations, grievance meetings, and discussions
relating to the interpretation or application of a labor agreement;
or (b) that portion of a meeting during which the governing body is
planning or adopting the strategy or position to be taken by the
governing body during the course of any collective bargaining,

while in progress. Action anticipated.
At 1:50 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session.
Direction was given to Staff to proceed with negotiations.
Meeting adjourned at 1:50 p.m.
