RESOLUTION NO.
DEMONSTRATING THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SUPPORT FOR
AVIATION REVITALIZATION LOAN PROGRAM APPLICATION TO THE
WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AVIATION
DIVISION FOR BOWERS FIELD WEST HANGAR TAXIWAY AND AUTHORIZING
THE AIRPORT DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE LOAN DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
WHEREAS: Kittitas County intends to submit An Aviation Revitalization Loan Program
Application to the Washington State Department of Transportation Aviation
(WSDOT) for the Construction of the West Hangar Taxilane at Bowers Field
Airport (ELN); and
WHEREAS: The current anticipated total project funding is estimated to be $450,000; and
WHEREAS: The Aviation Revitalization Loan Program requires that loan program applicants
submit a Resolution of Support from the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners understand the loan will be repaid from
airport fund reserves over time;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Kittitas County Board of County
Commissioners declares it be in the best interest of Bower Field Airport and does
hereby support submitting an Airport Revitalization Loan Program application for
Bowers Field and authorizes Airport Director to execute the application on behalf
of the Board of County Commissioners.
