ACTION REQUESTED:
Request to approve Special Sex Offender Disposition Alternative (SSODA) Sub -Contract
with licensed provider.
BACKGROUND:
Washington Juvenile Law provides a Disposition (sentencing) alternative for qualifying
juvenile sex offenders called SSODA (RCW 13.40.162). The program is implemented
through contract with juvenile courts. The evaluation and treatment portion of the
disposition alternative is accomplished through state qualified personnel. This
professional services agreement is to ensure a qualified treatment provider exists to serve
Kittitas County Juvenile Court. This is a long-standing service provider relationship
repeated on an annual basis typically with the advent of a new state biennium and funds
allocated to Kittitas County Juvenile Court for SSODA.
INTERACTION:
The Prosecutor's Office has reviewed and approved as to form the contract (Prosecutor
Review Number 452524).
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Special Sex Offender Disposition Alternative (SSODA) Sub -Contract with
licensed provider.
HANDLING:
Request 1 copy with signatures returned to Katrina Mankus. The original to be filed with
the BoCC.
