COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM/ WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING MONDAY 11:30 A.M. SEPTEMBER 20, 2021
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith & Vice-Chairman
Laura Osiadacz, and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Taylor Crouch, Administrative Assistant; Amy Cziske,
Treasurer; and Lisa Murray, Administrative Supervisor.
SPECIAL MEETING PUD TAXES TREASURER
At 11:30 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a meeting to receive an update
on PUD Taxes.
Lisa Murray, Administrative Supervisor brought forward for the Board
to start thinking about distributing PUD funds. The County receives
taxes from Grant County PUD from taxes paid in Kittitas County. None
of the taxes are paid in a city. The question for the Board is how
to distribute these funds and what to use them for. The Treasurer’s
Office supplied the RCW’s for allowed uses and the breakdown of the
funds received from the PUD for distribution. The Board was in
consensus that how this has been handled in the past was appropriate
and to continue the process and directed the Treasurer’s Office to
bring a formal request forward.
