AGENDA DATE: September 21, 2021 CONSENT AGENDA
ACTION REQUESTED: Requesting the Board of County Commissioners approve a
Notice of Call for Bids for the leasing of County Owned
Airport Property for Agricultural Purposes.
BACKGROUND: There are currently seven (7) tracts, approximately 800
acres of agricultural airport property under lease. The
current lease terms are ending November 30, 2021. The
upcoming leases will reduce that to (6) tracts with
approximately 760 acres of agricultural property to lease.
The lease process is a sealed bid process and the lessees are
bidding on a (5) five year lease. Due to the new
agricultural lease restrictions some specific changes to
individual tracts have been outlined in the bid packet for
clarity to prospective bidders. Prospective bidders can
receive a bid packet from the Airport Department at 3110
N. Airport Rd., Ellensburg, WA 98926, between September
22 and October 8th. All sealed bids must be delivered to
the Airport Department no later than 4 PM October 8th,
2021, at which time a public opening of all bids will
commence.

RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the BoCC Approve Notice of Call for
Bids for the leasing of County Owned Airport Property for
Agricultural Purposes
