Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />September 7, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners authorizes a Resolution authorizing the execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement between the Kittitas County Public Health Department and the <br />Department of Ecology. (Effective dates: July 1, 2021- June 30, 2026) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The lnteragency Agreement provides delegation to KCPHD, the authority to administer and <br />enforce the well sealing, tagging, and decommissioning portions of the water well construction <br />regulations in accordance with the provisions of WAC. The agreement also provides funds to <br />assist KCPHD in carrying out the activities described in this contract in accordance with the <br />statutes pertaining to the delegation of authority outlined in the RCWs, the Washington Well <br />Construction Act. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office: Reviewed and approved on 08/09/2021 <br />Kittitas County Auditor’s Office: Reviewed and approved on 08/10/2021 <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners authorizes a Resolution authorizing the execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement between the Kittitas County Public Health Department and the <br />Department of Ecology.
