KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: Tuesday, September 21, 2021 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Kittitas County <br />Sheriff's Office to Submit Individual Release of Claims Regarding Daimler AG and <br />Mercedes-Benz, USA, LLC Emission Campaign 2020040002. <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office had previously received the <br />donation of a Mobile Command vehicle that is among those covered in a recall and class <br />action lawsuit pertaining to emissions equipment as described in the documents attached. <br />The Sheriff's Office desires to participate in the Class Action Settlement in reference to <br />the vehicle including a refund as also described in documents attached. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has reviewed <br />and approved. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Kittitas <br />County Sheriff s Office to Submit Individual Release of Claims Regarding Daimler AG <br />and Mercedes-Benz, USA, LLC Emission Campaign 2020040002. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to the Sheriff's Office <br />LEAD STAFF: Command Staff <br />
