ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Kittitas County
Sheriff's Office to Submit Individual Release of Claims Regarding Daimler AG and
Mercedes-Benz, USA, LLC Emission Campaign 2020040002.
BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office had previously received the
donation of a Mobile Command vehicle that is among those covered in a recall and class
action lawsuit pertaining to emissions equipment as described in the documents attached.
The Sheriff's Office desires to participate in the Class Action Settlement in reference to
the vehicle including a refund as also described in documents attached.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has reviewed
and approved.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Kittitas
County Sheriff s Office to Submit Individual Release of Claims Regarding Daimler AG
and Mercedes-Benz, USA, LLC Emission Campaign 2020040002.
HANDLING: Return one original to the Sheriff's Office
