Kittitas County <br />Solid Waste <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />9/7/2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request Board of County Commissioners to approve the Resolution setting fees for the Solid Waste <br />Department. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Kittitas County Solid Waste Contracts with Waste Management to operate the Transfer Station and to <br />provide hauling and disposal services. The contract with Waste Management allows them to a CPI increase <br />every year. This years increase was 5.15% from Waste Management. <br /> <br />The rates also reflect the increase in cost for the Solid Waste Department. <br /> <br />The Minimum fees have remained the same but the pounds allowed for the minimum have changed. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Waste Management, and the Prosecutors office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Recommend Boards approval of the Resolution Setting Fees for the Solid Waste Department. <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />Return a copy to Solid Waste <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Patti Stacey <br />
