2021-08-30 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM/ WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING MONDAY 1:30 P.M. AUGUST 30, 2021 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Taylor Crouch, Administrative Assistant; Carly Brettmann, <br />Communications Director; Dr. Mark Larson, Health Officer; Kasey <br />Knutson, Special Programs Coordinator; Tristen Lamb, Public Health <br />Administrator; Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; and 3 members of <br />the public. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING COVID-19 MESSAGING COMMISSIONERS <br />At 1:30 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a meeting to discuss with Carly <br />Brettmann, Communications Director and Public Health about outgoing <br />COVID-19 messaging. <br /> <br />Director Brettmann asked Public Health Officials how she could help with <br />future messaging. Dr. Larson and Director Lamb discussed emergency vs. <br />non-emergency posts. Surrounding the upcoming Fair and Rodeo, there will <br />be informational posts about how to stay safe at the Fair, and promotion <br />of the vaccine truck that will be there. <br /> <br />There was discussion on how to pre-plan messaging for outbreaks related <br />to the Fair, but it was determined that there were too many details, and <br />messaging would go out to the public as needed. <br /> <br />There was discussion of the state of COVID-19 in the County. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 2:03 p.m. <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> Taylor Crouch Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />
