COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM/ WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING MONDAY 1:30 P.M. AUGUST 30, 2021
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Taylor Crouch, Administrative Assistant; Carly Brettmann,
Communications Director; Dr. Mark Larson, Health Officer; Kasey
Knutson, Special Programs Coordinator; Tristen Lamb, Public Health
Administrator; Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; and 3 members of
the public.
SPECIAL MEETING COVID-19 MESSAGING COMMISSIONERS
At 1:30 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a meeting to discuss with Carly
Brettmann, Communications Director and Public Health about outgoing
COVID-19 messaging.
Director Brettmann asked Public Health Officials how she could help with
future messaging. Dr. Larson and Director Lamb discussed emergency vs.
non-emergency posts. Surrounding the upcoming Fair and Rodeo, there will
be informational posts about how to stay safe at the Fair, and promotion
of the vaccine truck that will be there.
There was discussion on how to pre-plan messaging for outbreaks related
to the Fair, but it was determined that there were too many details, and
messaging would go out to the public as needed.
There was discussion of the state of COVID-19 in the County.
Meeting adjourned at 2:03 p.m.
