KITTITAS COUNTY <br />AIRPORT DEPARTMENT <br />AUGUST 17, 2021 AGENDA <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: August 17, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Requesting the Board of County Commissioners approve a <br />Notice of Call for Bids for the leasing of County Owned <br />Airport Property for Agricultural Purposes. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: There are currently seven (7) tracts, approximately 800 <br />acres of agricultural airport property under lease. The <br />current lease terms are ending November 30, 2021. The <br />upcoming leases will reduce that to (6) tracts with <br />approximately 760 acres of agricultural property to lease. <br />The lease process is a sealed bid process and the lessees are <br />bidding on a (5) five year lease. Due to the new <br />agricultural lease restrictions some specific changes to <br />individual tracts have been outlined in the bid packet for <br />clarity to prospective bidders. Prospective bidders can <br />receive a bid packet from the Airport Department at 3110 <br />N. Airport Rd., Ellensburg, WA 98926, between August <br />18th and September 9th.
