ACTION REQUESTED: Approval of Addendum to Professional Services Agreement with Andrew L.
Kottkamp for Hearing Examiner Services
BACKGROUND: On August 5, 2008, Kittitas County executed a Professional Service Agreement
(PSA) with Andrew L. Kottkamp for Hearing Examiner services. Mr. Kottkamp’s
compensation has remained at $130 per hour for professional services and $100 per
hour for travel since that date. Mr. Kottkamp is requesting an addendum to the PSA
in order to bring his compensation to his current rate of $200 per hour for
professional services and $125 per hour for travel. Mr. Kottkamp has provided
hearing examiner services Kittitas County for thirteen years and staff has reviewed
the proposed addendum with the Prosecutor’s Office and finds that the proposed
compensation is generally consistent with current attorneys’ fees for this type of
service.
INTERACTION: Board of Commissioners, Prosecutor’s Office, Auditor’s Office, and Community
Development Services
RECOMMENDATION: Approve proposed Addendum to the Professional Services Agreement.
