AGENDA DATE: August 17, 2021
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Establishing Fund for Capital
Improvements at the Kittitas Valley Event Center
BACKGROUND: The Event Center Director is requesting approval for a Resolution
establishing a fund for capital improvements. KVEC already has
fund 309 for Rodeo Grounds improvements and wants to change
the name to KVEC Capital Improvements to encompass all the
widely aging facilities at the fairgrounds in need of maintenance,
repairs, and improvements.
KVEC is initializing a new facility sponsor program to bring in
more revenue for the Event Center to help complete projects that
might not be able to be completed in the annual approved General
Fund Budget. The revenue from this sponsor program is solely to
be designated into this Capital Improvements fund.
