COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. JULY 19, 2021
Board members present: Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Commissioner
Cory Wright. Excused: Chairman Brett Wachsmith.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor; Taylor Crouch,
Admin. Assistant; Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Jerry Pettit,
Auditor; Carly Brettmann, Communications Director.
SPECIAL MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Vice-Chairman Osiadacz opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
Employee Personnel Action forms and vouchers.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending July 16, 2021.
REQUEST TRANSFER SURPLUS VEHICLE AUDITOR
Jerry Pettit, County Auditor requested the Board consider allowing
them to transfer the red Ford Escape from CDS’s surplus to the
Auditor’s Office. He stated that they are needing a designated pool
car with all the traveling they do to Upper County for elections
etc., and it should work just fine for their needs.
Commissioner Wright moved to authorize the transfer of the Red
Escape currently surplused by CDS and move it into the County
Auditor’s personal pool for elections use. Commissioner Osiadacz
seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
APPOINTMENT CIVIL SERVICE - PENDERGRASS COMMISSIONERS
7/19/2021 MINUTES 2
Commissioner Wright moved to appoint Mary Laureen Pendergrass to the
Kittitas County Civil Service Commission for a six-year term
effective immediately and to expire June 30, 2027. Commissioner
Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS
Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to
meet with on a weekly basis. The assignments for 2021 were
determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin meeting
on 1-11-2021.
Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective
departments and exchanged details of those meetings.
DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined for the week of July 19, 2021 they would post
the Critical Area’s Ordinance Press Release from CDS and the CERB
Broadband Grant Award.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
There were general updates on meetings & conversations that the
Board participated in, individually over the past week.
