KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2021 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: July 20, 2021 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the <br />Placement of Honeybees on Flood Control Zone District <br />Property <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Historically, Olson Honey has placed Honeybees on the old <br />Stewart property (now owned by the Flood Control Zone <br />District). Timing is such that Board action is required <br />allowing placement of the bees in the next several weeks. <br />Olson Honey is offering to donate honey to FISH foodbank <br />as compensation for allowing bee placement. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve the Resolution to Authorize placement of <br />Honeybees on Flood Control Zone District property. <br />HANDLING: <br />Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Resolution. <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Mark R.
