BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTTON No. 2o2t -ll_t <br />WAIVE FLOODPLAIN DEVELOPMENT PERMIT FEES FOR FISH HABITAT <br />RESTORATION PROJECTS <br />WHEREAS: Substitute Senate Bill 5381 establishes that, pursuant to Chapter 86.16 RCW, local <br />governments may impose requirements necessary to administer National Flood <br />Insurance Program regulation requirements on fish habitat projects; and <br />WHEREAS: Fish recovery is a key objective of the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan; and <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners find that fish recovery is in the public <br />interest; and <br />WHEREAS: Waiving Floodplain Development Permit fees for projects primarily designed to <br />improve fish and habitat or remove or reduce impediments to migration of fish, <br />provides additional funds towards construction to meet these objectives. <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners, does hereby waive <br />Floodplain Development Permit fees for projects primarily designed to improve fish <br />habitat or remove or reduce impediments to fish migration and authorim the public <br />Works Director to determine if a proposed project meets the fish habitat restoration <br />project definition and qualifies for the fee waiver. <br />day of July 2021, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COTINTY SSIONERS <br />COTINTY <br />s Brett <br />illl\ <br />n Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />wAputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />hr"t), <br />ce-Chairman <br />ABSENT <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner
