BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTTON NO. 2021-lo[ <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN CENTRAL WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY AND KITTITAS COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the lnterlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for <br />public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and <br />WHEREAS, The County has received a federal grant from Department of Justice <br />(DOJ), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) to develop and implement and evidence-based <br />medication assisted treatment program (MAT Program); and <br />WHEREAS, Consistentwith the University's instructional, scholarship, public service, <br />and research objectives, and consistent with its status as a non-profit, tax-exempt <br />educational institution, the University will provide professional services to the County to <br />assist with the evaluation of this MAT Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the University to arrange for Assistant Professor Dr. Roger Schaefer, to <br />act as the Program Evaluator of the County's MAT program to perform the duties as <br />described with the lnterlocal agreement; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the execution of the lnterlocal <br />Agreement between Central Washington University and Kittitas County pursuant to the <br />authority granted by Chapter 39.34 RCW. <br />ADOPTED this \ffi.day of 2021 <br />BOARD OF C COMMISSIONERS <br />KI INGTON <br />ABSENT <br />Commissioner <br />A {%'D AS TO FORM <br />rzz*q+ <br />D6ug tas/n Mitchell, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney <br />A perk of the Boa <br />Ef Deputy Clerk of <br />rd- Julie Kjorsvik <br />RESOLUTION <br />the B oard- Mandy Buchholz
