AGENDA DATE: July 6, 2021
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to authorize Board of County Commissioner's
signature executing the Independent Contractor Agreement
#2021-105MH with Central Washington Comprehensive
Mental Health.
BACKGROUND: The Independent Contractor Agreement with Central
Washington Comprehensive Mental Health ("CWCMH")
provides for delivery and coordination of mental health
services in Kittitas County by allowing CWCMH to
contract directly with the Regional Service Provider,
Greater Columbia Behavioral Health (GCBH) to provide
the majority of mental health services in Kittitas County
according to the County's mental health strategic plan and
funding priorities.
This agreement is for $280,000 starting August 1, 2021
through June 30, 2024. The $280,000 is the amount of
millage collected in previous years specifically for Mental
Health Services. The Behavioral Health and Recovery
Advisory Board as the June 21, 2021 meeting discussed the
allocation of the $280,000.
