Summary of Actions Since our Initial Notice of Intent to Transfer Ownership of New Suncadia <br />Compiled 09:00 AM, local time 06/29/2021, mrc <br /> <br />• June 3, 2021: Meeting with the Board of County Commissioners and Prosecuting <br />Attorney’s Office (PA) and New Suncadia (staff advises that notice as required in the <br />development agreement does not appear to be properly met). <br />• June 3, 2021: Public Works confirms that the City of Cle Elum has not received notice of <br />the pending transfer from New Suncadia. <br />• June 8, 2021: Prosecuting Attorney Greg Zempel letter to Steve Lathrop detailing notice <br />requirements. Request for three years of federal income tax statements, and profit loss <br />statements for the same period. Notice that the County will be vetting the purchaser with <br />Secretaries of States where the purchaser does business. <br />• June 11, 2021: DPA Caulkins and Director Cook phone meet going over transportation <br />short comings from New Suncadia performance to date. <br />• June 15, 2021: Public Works transmits to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office outstanding <br />transportation issues. <br />• June 16, 2021: Lowe responds to Public Works list of outstanding transportation issues. <br />• June 17, 2021: Jeff Slothower transmits a list of four references from municipalities <br />where the purchaser has done business (not Secretaries of State). <br />• June 18, 2021: Internal communication from PA’s Office that protecting federal income <br />tax returns may be problematic as the purchaser is objecting to providing the requested <br />financial documents. <br />• June 22, 2021: Electronic mail from PA Zempel to Jeff Slothower stating the County is <br />under-resourced to perform the requested Secretary of State investigations. <br />• June 24, 2021: Letter from Jeff Slothower with transmittals. No tax returns. No profit <br />and loss statements. No Secretaries of State vetted. Limited financial documentation. <br />• June 25, 2021: Notice that the City of Cle Elum do not wish being signatory on the <br />transfer. <br />• June 28, 2021: Deputy PA Caulkins transmits draft documents for Board consideration. <br />• June 29, 2021: Public Works transmits to DPA Caulkins, PA Zempel and Community <br />Development Services Director Carlson review of submitted financial documents. <br />• June 29, 2021: Electronic mail from Jeff Slothower requesting if the County needs any <br />additional information.
