Request to set a Public Hearing for July 20, 2021 at
2:00 pm to consider a speed reduction on Barnes
Road between Brown Road and Hanson Road and
amend Kittitas County Code Chapter 10.08 Speed
Limits on County Roads.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public Works
received a request from residents to conduct a speed
study and consider a reduction of the posted 50
MPH speed on Barnes Road between Brown Road
and Hanson Road (milepost 0.00 to milepost 0.78).
The speed study was conducted, and Public Works
is now requesting to set a Public Hearing to receive
public testimony and discuss the results of said
study.
INTERACTION:
Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for July 20, 2021 at 2:00 pm to
consider a speed reduction on Barnes Road from
milepost 0.00 to milepost 0.78 and amend Kittitas
County Code Chapter 10.08 Speed Limits on
County Roads.
HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Public
Works

West 5th Avenue, Room 109, Kittitas County Courthouse, Ellensburg, WA to consider a speed reduction on Barnes Road
between Brown Road and Hanson Road and Amend Kittitas County Code Chapter 10.08 Speed Limits on County Roads.
