AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: July 6, 2021
ACTION REQUESTED: Set a Public Hearing for July 20, 2021 amending Kittitas
County Code Chapter 2.04.010.
BACKGROUND: The Board has determined that with multiple Department Head
Study Sessions; opportunities for Special Meetings; and the fact
that Monday morning 10-minute meetings were generally never
ten minutes (and typically running over) they would like to
eliminate those and the Agenda Study Session. The reason for
eliminating the Monday Agenda Study Session is to have all of the
Agenda items discussed where the meeting is recorded and live
streamed to allow for the public to listen to the discussion.
The Sheriff’s Office reached out, and stated that they would like to
change the name of the Law & Justice Study Session to the
Sheriff’s Study Session.
INTERACTION: Staff met with the Board to discuss options and was directed to set
a Public Hearing to remove the Monday Agenda Study Session and
Monday Department Head Meetings from County Code.
RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for July 20, 2021 to consider
amending KCC 2.04.010.
