06/15/2021 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING <br /> TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. JUNE 15, 2021 <br />Board members present via Webex: Chairman Brett Wachsmith and <br />Commissioner Cory Wright. Excused: Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others via Webex: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mark Cook, <br />Public Works Director; Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor; <br />and 3 members of the public. <br /> <br />This meeting was provided to the public via Webex and they were <br />previously notified on the Agenda as to where they could access and <br />provide public comments. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING TIMBER VALLEY DIVISION 1 PUBLIC WORKS <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />the partial vacation of Rights-of-Way in Division 1 of Timber <br />Valley. <br /> MARK COOK, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR reviewed a Staff Report and said <br />they had received an application to vacate portions of rights-of-way <br />in Division 1 of Timber Valley in February 2021. The County Engineer <br />and Surveyor conducted research pursuant to the request and found no <br />reason to deny the request. Once vacated, the land will become <br />attached to the applicant and add to the taxable land mass of the <br />County. The interior roads being vacated were never constructed and <br />the dedication for public use requires a vacation by the County. <br /> THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. RESOLUTION 2021-093 TIMBER VALLEY DIVISION 1 PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSIONER WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2021-093, <br />Vacating Portions of Cle Elum Road, Timber Valley Road and Little <br />Creek Road within the Plat of Timber Valley Division 1. CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 2-0. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING RECREATION & TOURISM PLAN PUBLIC WORKS <br />At approximately 2:06 p.m. CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened a Public <br />Hearing to consider adopting the 2021 Kittitas County Recreation and <br />Tourism Plan. <br /> <br />
