5/24/21 MINUTES 1 <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING <br /> MONDAY 10:00 A.M. MAY 24, 2021 <br />Board members present via Webex: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice- <br />Chairman Laura Osiadacz, and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others via Webex: Greg Zempel, Prosecutor; Mark Cook, Public Works <br />Director; Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Jeremy Johnston, Planning <br />Official; and 8 members of the public. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING MEETING WITH STEVE LATHROP AND RCS COMMISSIONERS <br />At 10:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to meet <br />with stakeholders from Suncadia and Real Capital Solutions (RCS). <br /> <br />Rodger Beck, Managing Director of Suncadia Resort initiated <br />introductions with the Board and Ryan Atkin, Vice-President of RCS; <br />Shea Stricker, Commercial Acquisitions with RCS; and Scott Brown, <br />Director of RCS. The Board then introduced County Staff to those <br />from Suncadia and Real Capital Solutions. <br /> <br />The Board was able to ask questions of RCS and their plans for <br />Suncadia. They have a long-term investment plan for the property. <br />Steve Lathrop, Attorney explained that this would have a different <br />transaction process than the first time Suncadia was sold. <br /> <br />Greg Zempel, Prosecutor explained that the Board would have the <br />final call on if RCS was an appropriate buyer for this property. <br />Commissioner Osiadacz and Dan Carlson, CDS Director would work <br />together to review references for RCS.
