COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING
MONDAY 10:00 A.M. MAY 24, 2021
Board members present via Webex: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice-
Chairman Laura Osiadacz, and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others via Webex: Greg Zempel, Prosecutor; Mark Cook, Public Works
Director; Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Jeremy Johnston, Planning
Official; and 8 members of the public.
SPECIAL MEETING MEETING WITH STEVE LATHROP AND RCS COMMISSIONERS
At 10:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to meet
with stakeholders from Suncadia and Real Capital Solutions (RCS).
Rodger Beck, Managing Director of Suncadia Resort initiated
introductions with the Board and Ryan Atkin, Vice-President of RCS;
Shea Stricker, Commercial Acquisitions with RCS; and Scott Brown,
Director of RCS. The Board then introduced County Staff to those
from Suncadia and Real Capital Solutions.
The Board was able to ask questions of RCS and their plans for
Suncadia. They have a long-term investment plan for the property.
Steve Lathrop, Attorney explained that this would have a different
transaction process than the first time Suncadia was sold.
Greg Zempel, Prosecutor explained that the Board would have the
final call on if RCS was an appropriate buyer for this property.
Commissioner Osiadacz and Dan Carlson, CDS Director would work
together to review references for RCS. There was discussion on the
timeline for this process, all parties were hoping that this would
be completed before the end of June.
