KITTITAS COUNTY Board of County Commissioners AGENDA STAFF REPORT AGENDA DATE: June 1st, 2021 ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approve and sign Amendment No. 1 to the Lodging Tax Contracts LT-2021-001-023 besides LT-2021-013, they withdrew their contract before this point. BACKGROUND: The Consolidated Lodging Tax workgroup met on November 20, 2020, in an open public meeting to deliberate and reach their final funding recommendation which was forwarded to each legislative body for final approval. The Group recommended allocating $219,244.99 of Lodging Tax funds for special events and projects. The Contracts were awarded, there were changes made to Exhibit “B” between 2020 and 2021, and the wrong year’s Exhibit “B” was attached to this year’s contract. The Auditor’s Office needed an amendment to allow for the changes that were meant to be included in this year’s contracts but were not. On May 21st, 2021, the Consolidated group met again to hold requests for contract amendments from applicants. On LT-2021002-CEDA there is an additional amendment to allow for Website Branding. On LT-2021-006-Junk-Tiquen there is an additional amendment to allow for a date and venue change for the spring show. INTERACTION: There has been communication with the applicants, so they are aware of this amendment. The Auditor’s Office is aware of and requested the amendment. DPA Mitchell reviewed all amendments. RECOMMENDATION: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approve and sign Amendment No. 1 to the Lodging Tax Contracts LT-2021-001-023 besides LT-2021-013, they withdrew their contract before this point.
